Delegate Steve Schuh today officially filed paperwork with the Board of Elections to run for Anne Arundel County Executive.

“Today we embark on a journey to bring the highest standards of ethics, service and management to Anne Arundel County government,” Schuh said. “My campaign will emphasize the priorities of the citizens of Anne Arundel County, including reducing taxes and fees, improving our schools, assuring public safety, cleaning up our environment, and reforming regulations to create jobs and economic opportunity.”

Schuh has served the citizens of Anne Arundel County as an active community volunteer, an elected official and a successful businessman for nearly thirty years. He has served two terms in the Maryland General Assembly and was recently selected as Chairman of the County Delegation. He was lead author of five alternative state budgets that would have balanced the budget with no new taxes. He has cast thousands of votes aimed at reducing taxes and blocking tax increases, limiting the size of government, and restoring respect for traditional values of respect for life, private property and the Second Amendment.

More than 100 Republican leaders have endorsed Schuh’s candidacy, including Governor Robert and former First Lady Kendel Ehrlich, Congressman Andy Harris, former Congresswoman Marjorie Holt, Senate Candidate Dan Bongino, House Minority Leader Nic Kipke, House Minority Whip Kathy Szeliga, and numerous party activists and other elected officials.
