Lost MD Dog Survives 9 Day In Maine Elements.  A Maryland family’s dog that went missing on a holiday trip to Maine has been found after surviving more than a week in sub-zero temperatures and severe winter storms. Dempsey, a 1-year-old boxer that belongs to Jamie Cyrway’s family in Severn, Md., was found Monday morning in an abandoned warehouse in North Anson. He had a broken leg and was taken to an animal hospital for care.

Delegate Dwyer Stripped Of Committee Seat.  A Maryland lawmaker who is serving a jail sentence on weekends for drunken boating was removed from his committee in the House of Delegates on Thursday. Delegate Don Dwyer was officially removed from the Ways and Means Committee by House Speaker Michael Busch, who said it was his job to protect the integrity of the House of Delegates.

Teens Sought In Attempted Armed Robbery. Three teenagers, one armed with a handgun, tried to rob another teenager of his jacket and cellphone, police said. Anne Arundel County police were called shortly after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 600 block of Delaware Avenue in Glen Burnie for an attempted robbery. Police said three assailants approached a 17-year-old boy who was waiting in an alley for his father.

Freezing Rain Advisory For Area.  A storm is bringing a wintry mix to Maryland just in time for the morning rush-hour Friday. The National Weather Service issued a freezing rain advisory until 11 a.m. Friday for most of Maryland.  The advisory was issued until 9 a.m. for some counties on the Eastern Shore. As temperatures teetered around 32 degrees early Friday morning, many parts of the state began seeing some freezing rain and sleet. 11 News reporter Jennifer Franciotti and some 11 News viewers reported seeing small amounts of ice accumulation in some areas.
