Mongolian Dance Drama At Maryland Hall

Maryland HallA dance drama featuring artists from Mongolia will  perform the “Wedding Of Ordos,” on January 17, at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.

The drama features ceremonial traditions, as the Hada for engagement, greetings to the son-in-law, toasting, mother’s blessings. The drama with its magnificent ethnic costumes, dances and music preserves the rich wedding customs and traditions of the Mongolian people of China.

The performance is open to the public free of charge with a first come first serve seating.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m and the performance begins at 7 p.m.

The production is presented by World Artists Experiences in partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and with Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.  World Artists Experiences is a non-profit organization which bridges international understanding through cultural and citizen diplomacy.  For further information, email [email protected] or check the website at www.worldartists.org.
