how-to-breed-a-Pit-BullOn December 29, 2013, at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue S.W. in Glen Burnie for a report of a dog bite.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 66-year-old female victim, who stated that she was outside walking her dog when two stray Pit bull dogs approached and attacked her dog. While trying to break the dogs apart, the victim sustained a serious bite injury. The victim was able to make it to a nearby residence and received assistance from a citizen. Both of the attacking dogs fled and were seen entering a vehicle at the end of the street after being called over by an unknown person. The vehicle then left the area. There was no available description of the vehicle or the owner of the dogs. The victim was subsequently transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610.
