Police Investigating 2 Robberies.  Anne Arundel County police said they are investigating two separate armed robberies. Officers were called to the 8000 block of Brookstone Court in Severn for a report of an armed robbery around 8:10 p.m. Monday. An employee of Today’s Pizza told police he was making a delivery in the 8000 block of Brookstone Court when he was approached by two men.

Authorities Use SPIDRE Skills To Catch Impaired Drivers.  The Maryland State Police State Police Impaired Driving Effort or SPIDRE team started in May. The team has worked with local police in Prince George’s and Baltimore counties and Baltimore City and now the team is headed to Anne Arundel County.

Unattended Cooking Causes 2-Alarm House Fire. Anne Arundel County fire officials said unattended cooking caused a two-alarm fire in Maryland City that displaced five people over the weekend. Firefighters were called around 2:45 a.m. Saturday to a home in the 400 block of Old Line Avenue, where they found fire coming from the rear of the ranch-style home.

Police: Man Robs Woman At Glen Burnie Gas Station. Police said they are looking for a man who robbed a woman in Glen Burnie. Anne Arundel County police officers were called to the BP gas station in the 7400 block of B&A Boulevard for a reported robbery around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. A 40-year-old woman told police she was filling up her vehicle with gas when a man approached her and asked to use her cellphone because his car had broken down.
