Man Shot, Killed After Botched Harmans Robbery.  Anne Arundel County police are investigating a fatal shooting in Harmans. Investigators said they are investigating the incident as a botched robbery in which the victim was targeted. Police said a man in his 40s was found shot in the 7400 block of Railroad Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Thursday. 2 Men Busted In Separate Drug StingsAnne Arundel County police said they made two drug-related arrests after separate sting operations. Police said detectives were conducting surveillance at the Gulf gas station in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park when they saw an individual inside a parked vehicle that they believed was involved in drug activity around 7:15 p.m. Oct. 24.

Viewing Set For Slain Baltimore Firefighter.  A viewing is scheduled today for a Baltimore City firefighter who was slain in Glen Burnie over the weekend. Anne Arundel County police said 27-year-old Andrew Hoffman and his girlfriend, Marie Hartman, were killed by Hartman’s ex-boyfriend, Christopher Robinson, who was a city police officer.

Police Keeping Sex Offenders At Bay During Halloween.  Anne Arundel County police are trying to keep trick-or-treaters safe from sex offenders on Halloween. The county’s sex crimes unit on Thursday will do a walking tour across Pasadena, where several registered sex offenders live. With their Operation Lights Out Tour, police are making sure sex offenders turn their porch lights off during trick-or-treating and clearly display a sign that says “no candy” on their front doors.
