A total of 165 women attended the chic affair at Chartwell County Club, in Severna Park to support the cause. Each guest enjoyed a champagne luncheon with beautifully appointed tables with centerpieces personally designed by Ellen Allen.
Guests had the opportunity to meet and greet staff members and families that are currently living at the house. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore Executive Director Sandy Pagnotti circulated through the crowd answering questions about the 36-bedroom house on Lexington Street in West Baltimore and encouraging luncheon guests to visit the facility. Guests learned first hand the direct impact their support has on families and children in the Ronald McDonald House. A total of 1,214 families came through the house last year and, over the last 30 years; the facility has served 35,000 families.
The event raised over $8,000 to benefit the Baltimore Ronald McDonald House. Ellen Allen of Annapolis held a silent auction and had merchandise on hand for purchase including handbags, clutches, scarves, neckties, giftware and jewelry. 10% of all Ellen Allen proceeds from the event went directly to the Baltimore facility.
