8 Armed Robberies In 10 Days In Anne Arundel

robberyWhile police have not stated that they are connected, a string of armed robberies in the Millersville, Pasadena, Gambrills, and Glen Burnie areas has merchants and residents very concerned.

Incident 1: BP Gas Station, Millersville, 701pm, November 15

At approximately 1901 hours Officers responded to the Benfield Service Center (BP) located at 8699 Veterans Highway Millersville for an armed robbery. Upon arrival an employee of the business advised the suspect entered the business armed with a handgun and committed a robbery taking an undetermined amount of cash.  The suspect then exited the business and fled into a wooded area towards West Benfield Road.  Officers, K-9 and Air support attempted to locate the suspect with negative results.

Suspect:  Light Skin B/M, Approx. 5’07” Stocky Build, Wearing All Dark Clothing, Ski Mask, Gloves, Black Handgun

Incident 2: Wendy’s, Glen Burnie, 906pm, November 15

On November 15th, 2013 at 2106 hours officers responded to the Wendy’s restaurant located at 6910 Ritchie Highway Glen Burnie MD for an attempted armed robbery. Upon arrival officers learned that two black male suspects entered the store wearing black hooded sweatshirts and white tennis shoes. Both suspects displayed black in color semi-automatic handguns and demanded money from the clerk, who fled from the store. One of the suspects then jumped over the counter but was unable to open the cash register. Both suspects then fled the location toward the rear of the restaurant. Officers and K9 conducted a search of the area with negative results. The store clerk injured his leg during the incident.

Suspect #1: B/M 5’8” black hooded sweat shirt, gray sweat pants white tennis shoes, armed with black semi auto handgun

Suspect #2: B/M 6’2” Black hooded sweat shirt, dark pants, and white tennis shoes, armed with black semi auto handgun

Incident 3: Dunkin Donuts, Pasadena, 924pm, November 15

At approximately 2124 hours Officers responded for an armed robbery of the Dunkin Donuts located at 8053 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena.  Upon arrival, an employee of the business advised that two suspects entered the business, each armed with a handgun, and took an undetermined amount of cash. The suspects then exited the business towards the Bowling Alley located on Jumpers Hole Rd. Numerous officers and K-9 attempted to locate the suspects with negative results.

Suspects: 2 B/M’s, Both  Approximately 5’09” Stocky Build, Wearing All Dark Clothing With Ski Masks, Gloves, Black Handguns 

Incident 4: Nick’s Pizza, Pasadena, 904pm, November 14

On November 13, 2013, at approximately 9:04 p.m., officers from the Eastern District and Criminal Investigation Division responded to Nick’s Pizza located in the 3000 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena for a reported armed robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the employees, who stated that two male suspects entered the business. One of them displayed a handgun and a robbery was announced. The suspects obtained an undetermined amount of currency and fled on foot in the direction of Brookfield Road.  None of the victims were injured during the incident. Incident 5: Food Lion, Glen Burnie, 900pm, November 10

On November 10th at approximately 9 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the Food Lion at 121 Crain Hwy North in Glen Burnie for an attempted armed robbery, which had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect entered the business and displayed a handgun, demanding that a clerk open the cash register. The clerk refused and the suspect fled the business on foot without taking anything.  He was last seen running toward Ritchie Hwy.

Suspect: Black male, mid 20’s, approx. 5’10”, stocky build, wearing a wool knit hat, a black leather coat with white lettering, sunglasses, and a scarf over his face.

Incident 6: Dash-In, Pasadena, 350am, November 10

On November 10th at approximately 3:50 a.m., officers responded to the Dash In Convenience Store at 103 Mountain Rd for a report of a armed robbery. Upon arrival officers learned that two male suspects had entered the store wearing hats, masks and gloves. One of the suspects displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied with the demand and the two suspects exited the store and fled the area on foot. One suspect ran towards the right rear of the store. The second suspect exited the store and walked across the street towards the apartments located at 106 Mountain Rd. Several officers along with K9 responded to the location and conducted an area canvass with negative results.

The store clerk was not injured during the incident.

Suspect #1: Black male, 5’07” to 5’10”, 150-200lbs, wearing all dark clothing, & white bandana

Suspect #2: Black male, 5’07” to 5’10”, 150-200lbs, wearing all dark clothing, & black ski mask

Incident 7: BP Gas Station, Gambrills, 240am, November 10

On November 10th, at approximately 2:40 a.m., officers from the Western District responded to the BP Gas Station in the 700 Block of Crain Highway North, Gambrills, MD for a reported armed robbery that just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store clerk who stated a male suspect armed with a small black pistol, wearing a dark mask covering his face entered the store. The armed black male pointed the pistol at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied with the armed suspect’s request, who fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of U.S. Currency. After an extensive search of the area, the suspect was not located and is still at large. The store clerk was not injured as a result of this incident.

Suspect: Black male, 20 to 25 years of age, approximately 5’08’’ – 5’09’’, 150 – 160 LBS, wearing a blue scarf around his face with dark sunglasses. The suspect was also seen wearing a black and white jacket, a brown winter hat with tassels, a black T-shirt, black pants and black latex gloves.

Incident 8: Dash-In, Pasadena, 1153pm, November 6

On November 6, 2013, at approximately 11:53 p.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to the Dash-In located in the 3900 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena for an armed robbery of the business that just occurred.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect armed with a handgun entered the business and demanded money and cigarettes. It appears that a second male suspect acted as a lookout just outside the business as this was occurring. The suspect inside obtained an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency as well as cigarettes. Both suspects then fled on foot towards Hog Neck Road. No one was injured during the robbery. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspect #1: White male in his late teens or early 20’s with an average height and average build, wearing a brown hoodie pulled up and some type of mask

Suspect #2: Male (unknown race) wearing dark clothing
