Teen Tackles Would-Be Burglar In Edgewater. A teen who witnessed a theft was able to tackle a would-be burglar in Edgewater, Anne Arundel County police said. Officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Holly Avenue in Edgewater for a report of a theft around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. A 15-year-old boy told police he saw a man stealing a FedEx package from the front steps of his home and running away with it.

It seems a notorious petty thief known for racking up a huge bill at restaurants and then faking an illness in an effort to avoid paying has struck again. Police arrested 46-year-old Andrew Palmer on Sunday night, and they have a strong warning for those in the restaurant industry. According to court records, Palmer has been arrested almost 100 times for dining and not paying, costing area restaurants tens of thousands of dollars.
