Annapolis High School Dance Contract Causing Controversy.  Annapolis High School is trying to cut down on twerking and other types of provocative dancing at the school’s homecoming this weekend by requiring a special conduct contract be signed by students and parents. The contract is clear: Without a signature, there’s no entry to the dance, and sexually explicit dancing is not allowed, even though that’s the type of dancing many students said they’ve seen in the past.

Blue Angels To Resume Performances Next Year.  The Navy’s daredevil fighter jet pilots, the Blue Angels, are set to return to the skies above air shows nationwide in 2014. The Navy has announced that the popular flight demonstration team will have a full schedule for the 2014 season. The commissioning week airshow in Annapolis and graduation flyover are popular events for academy students, parents, staff and the Annapolis community.

Man Charged In Fatal Hit And Run Crash.  The State’s Attorney for Anne Arundel County on Tuesday said it has charged a man nearly one year after a fatal hit-and-run crash in which a pedestrian was killed. Anne Arundel County police responded to Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road in Glen Burnie for a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on Nov. 20, 2012.

Woman Sought In Hit And Run That Injured ManAnne Arundel County police are searching for a woman in connection with a hit-and-run last week that injured a 62-year-old man in Riviera Beach.  Police said the woman, pictured in the photo above, was leaving a parking lot in the 8400 block of Fort Smallwood Road around 10:45 p.m. Friday when the front passenger side of her vehicle hit the man, who was trying to cross the lot.
