Endangered & Exotic Reptile Show At Maryland Hall

05reptiles2Discover the world of endangered reptiles at the “Rainforest Reptile Family Show:  Rarity in Peril” at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on Saturday, October 26 at 3 pm. Tickets are $19; $15 for Maryland Hall members and children.

This interactive presentation features more than a dozen endangered and exotic reptiles and snakes on stage, providing audience members with the chance to learn about these animals and their habitats and why they are endangered.

The show includes opportunities for the audience to see the animals up close on stage, through large-screen video hook-up and through audience participation during the show and to ask questions of Herpetologist Michael Ralbovsky. Among the animals highlighted are lizards, including a Water Monitor Llizard from the rainforests of Indonesia, the Common Boa Constrictor and Marine or Cane Toads.  An interactive exhibit before and after the show includes a variety of artifacts that have been collected by the show’s presenter to highlight conservation, along with many that the US Fish and Wildlife Service has confiscated through illegal importation.
