UPDATE: From the Anne Arundel County Police Department:
On October 26, 2013, at approximately 6:34 p.m., officers responded to 200 block Glen Road, Glen Burnie, Md for the report of a child bitten in the face by a dog.
Officers discovered that a three year old male had been bitten by a neighbor’s lab/terrier mix. The dog, who resides in the 200 block of Glen Road, was confined in his own yard at the time of the incident.
Initial investigation indicates the child may have put his face under the fence through a hole when he was bitten by the dog. The child initially was transported by his parents to BWMC. Fire Department personnel responded back to the residence and located a portion of the child’s nose that had been bitten off by the dog and brought it to BWMC. The child was then transported to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics Trauma in Baltimore for further treatment.
Anne Arundel County Animal Control responded to the address. The owners of the dog cooperated with the inquiry and turned over the dog to Animal Control who will conduct further investigation into the incident.

Anne Arundel 1st Alert is reporting that a small child was bitten by a dog and suffered a partially amputated nose. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Glen Road in Glen Burnie.
The partial nose was located and sent to the hospital for possible re-attachment. The child was initially taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center and then transferred to Union Memorial Hospital where they have a specialized team to handle re-attachments Johns Hopkins Pediatrics Trauma.
From someone close to the investigation, the dog belonged to the next door neighbor.
Police and Animal Control are investigating.
