Harvest Of Artists Begins Tomorrow At Greenstreet Gardens

artists-harvest-thomas-michael-meddaughThe Muddy Creek Artists Guild will be holding its 5th annual Fall “Harvest of Artists” Show hosted by Greenstreet Gardens, 391 West Bay Front Road in Lothian this weekend.

More than 50 local artists, including Painters, Potters, Textile Artists, Jewelers, Mixed Media, Sculpture and many other mediums will be featured. Greenstreet Gardens provides a beautiful setting for all the artists work, including many new artists to the guild. There will be a Meet the Artists reception on Friday, September 13 from 5-7pm with live music from the trio “The Breeze” and light refreshments. Come see artists at work on Saturday and Sunday as they perform Plein Air painting, jewelry creation, and sculpture.

MCAG will also be collecting canned goods for SCAN the South County Assistance Network , a local food bank, during this Harvest of Artists show.

Greenstreet Garden owners Ray and Stacy Greenstreet have graciously opened their beautiful greenhouse showroom as a backdrop for this “Art in the Garden” show. Additionally, outside on their impressive Southern Anne Arundel acreage, local artists will be participating in an En Plein Air event painting the local vista. Visitors are invited to watch them work. Completed paintings will be sold at the show.

Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian, Maryland is a large wholesale and retail operation that features locally grown plant stock, garden furniture, apparel and gifts.

The Muddy Creek Artists Guild holds three shows annually – creating its own gallery in a unique space.  The Guild is committed to promote local artists, to educate the public about art techniques, and to support exceptional young artists through annual scholarship awards.
