Haiti 80 Bike Ride Rides Again

Pierre-Henri Buisson on the Academy BridgeFor the last two years, St. Martins-in-the-Field Episcopal Church in Severna Park, Maryland has sponsored the Haiti 80 Bike Ride to support La Resurrection School in Gros Morne, Haiti.  On Sept 21 the bike event offers a 10 mile family ride  to Kinder Park, 50 mile fitness or a 62.5 mile Metric Century.   The event will start with registration 7:00am at the Severna Park Community Center, 623 B&A Blvd, Severna Park for the B&A Trail.    The start line will close at 11:30 am and the ride concludes at 2pm.  There will be an Ice Cream Social at the Holy Grounds building from 12:00 – 2:00pm.  Also pre registration is available on line. Pre Register by Sept 9/$40 after $45.

The ride is growing each year and last year raised $8,000. This event focuses specifically on educating children.  Your $40.00 registration fee and five others will educate one child for one year at the school in Gros Morne, Haiti.  St. Martins-in-the-Field has been instrumental in the growth of this school since 1985 along with volunteers who lend their support in innumerable ways throughout the year.   Please help us to support the children at La Resurrection School.  Your contribution is tax deductible.
