Delegate Steve Schuh  announced that he has been endorsed for Anne Arundel County Executive by rising star Dan Bongino, a candidate for U.S. Congress who has built a strong national profile for work as a political commentator.

“Steve Schuh’s experience in government, business, education and the non-profit sector make him uniquely qualified to serve as our next County Executive,” Bongino said. “He has been a strong advocate in the State Legislature for lower taxes, respect for U.S. citizenship, Second Amendment rights and traditional values. He tells the truth and puts people before politics. He has my vote.”

Bongino is a former U.S. Secret Service agent who lives in Anne Arundel County with his wife Paula and two young daughters. He won the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2012, is the author of “Life Inside the Bubble: Why a Top-Ranked Secret Service Agent Walked Away from It All,” and is a regular political commentator on Fox News and talk radio. Bongino has given a voice to a new generation of Republican leaders.

“The Republican Party needs new ideas and new leaders in order to recapture what made this Country great. I respect Dan Bongino’s commitment to limited government and personal liberty,” Schuh said. “I hope we can be partners in bringing common sense back to government in Annapolis and in Washington, D.C.”

This latest endorsement follows the Schuh campaign’s recent release of a list of over 100 endorsements from Republican leaders throughout the County and State, including former Governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. and Congressman Andy Harris. Schuh is serving his second term in the Maryland House of Delegates, where he is Chairman of the County Delegation. He is a small business owner, father and lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County.
