Annapolis Boat Shows Sold

| September 04, 2013, 02:41 PM | 0 Comments

annapolis_boat_show2The United States Sailboat and Power Boat Shows, more commonly known as the Annapolis boat shows, have been sold.  We have confirmed with a source close to the transaction that a contract to purchase was executed Friday, August 30, 2013 with the  actual transfer to  happen shortly after the 2013 shows.

The terms of the transaction were not known and the buyers’ names are being withheld by Eye On Annapolis. The buyers are a group of five local residents. It has been long rumored that Edward C. Hartman has been trying to sell the shows; and likely the redevelopment of City Dock and the potential sale of 110 Compromise Street surely factored in the sale.

Hartman and his related business concerns have lent the financial backing to the Save Annapolis coalition which vociferously opposed the development of 110 Compromise Street and the redevelopment of City Dock. As soon as negotiations began in earnest on the sale, communications from Save Annapolis essentially ceased.

We have learned that more details of this transaction will be release later this afternoon.
