House Colleagues Call On Don Dwyer To Resign.  More of Delegate Don Dwyer’s colleagues in the Maryland House of Delegates have called on the Anne Arundel County lawmaker to resign his seat after his arrest on drunken driving charges Tuesday. Anne Arundel County police arrested the 55-year-old Dwyer early Tuesday morning on driving under the influence and 14 traffic charges.

Car Collides With Bicyclist In Davidsonville. A car collided with a bicyclist Wednesday afternoon in the Davidsonville area, according to Anne Arundel County police. Officers were called around 5:20 p.m. to Riva Road near Maple Creek Lane, where a car struck the bicyclist, who suffered serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene.

USNA To Modify Training To Prevent Sexual Assault.  The U.S. Naval Academy is trying to make training about ways to prevent sexual assault part of the regular academic work day. Capt. Bill Byrne, the commandant of midshipmen, said Wednesday that’s a change, because the training has been done at night, during briefings and in role-playing venues outside of classroom hours. He says it’s believed the change will improve the training by making it part of the core curriculum.

Woman, 69, Critically Injured In Gambrills Pedestrian Crash.  A woman sustained possibly life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a car in Gambrills, police said. Anne Arundel County police said a serious pedestrian crash happened Strawberry Lake Way at Black Gum Way at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police said a 69-year-old Ellen Sanna Foster was crossing the roadway outside of the designated crosswalk areas and was struck by a 2008 Toyota Prius.
