Bizarre Mishap Leaves Man With Life Threatening Injuries. Anne Arundel Fire officials say a 69-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries in bizarre mishap at a home in Arnold. Firefighters and paramedics originally responded for an injured person at a home in the 1300 block of Kinloch Circle just before 5 p.m. Friday. 2nd Annual Puppy Plunge To Benefit Anne Arundel SPCA. The SPCA of Anne Arundel County is offering up some end-of-summer fun for pets and their owners at the 2nd annual Puppy Plunge. The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 25 at Camp Letts in Edgewater. Tickets are $5 per person benefiting the SPCA. Kids under 10 and dogs are free. The yearly event will have music from the Eastport Oyster Boys, and visitors can get BBQ from Red, Hot & Blue or a veggie burger from the SPCA grill.
Police Searching For 2 Teens Who Robbed Another Teen. Anne Arundel County police said they are looking for two teens who stole a bike from another teen in Severn. Officers were called to the 7800 block of Citadel Drive for a robbery that just happened at the Provinces Park on Disney Road around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. A 13-year-old boy said he was riding a bike on the bike trail at the park when he was approached by two teens, who threw him off of his silver mountain bike, assaulted him, took his bicycle and fled toward the back of the park.
Man, 19, Fatally Shot By Sheriff’s Deputy. A Harford County sheriff’s deputy is on administrative leave after the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man at a snowball stand. Officials identified the victim as 19-year-old Seth Jacob Beckman. On Saturday at 10:30 p.m., deputies began to receive disorderly conduct calls in rapid succession from businesses in the same vicinity. The calls stated that a man was “tearing up the store and assaulting customers,” according to officials.
