A young man, one of two people knocked out by a possible lightning strike near the Chesapeake Bay, has been released from the hospital in much better condition. Conner Benson, 19, was in Maryland for a summer internship. He’s back home in Park City, Utah, now and talking about his recovery and his memories before and after that possible lightning strike.
Family Of Boy, 3, Who Wandered Off Thanks Police. The family of a 3-year-old Anne Arundel County boy who managed to wander out of his house in the middle of the night is thanking the police and a bystander for bringing their son safely back home. Paulie Marshall and his family gave a big thank you to the Anne Arundel County Police Department on Wednesday. They returned him to his family after he wandered out of his house on Kingbrook Road in Linthicum in the middle of the night last week.

The Maryland state Department of Education is investigating Anthony Hamilton’s claims about his background in response to the questions raised by the WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team — potentially embarrassing questions if a gubernatorial appointee to a high-profile position isn’t who he’s claimed to be.
High Heel Shoes Recalled Over Fall Hazard. Almost 200 high heel shoes are being recalled because of a fall hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the heel on the Kensington Court 3 1/2 inch high heel patent leather shoes can loosen with wear, posing a fall hazard. The shoes were sold from January to June in four colors, including dark blue with beige trim, cream with tan trim, red with gray trim and turquoise blue with beige trim.
