Mary Ann Redmond To Perform At Final Free Outdoor Concert

Mary Ann RedmondEnjoy a free outdoor concert on the labyrinth featuring singer, songwriter Mary Ann Redmond on Thursday, August 22 at 6 pm.  The performance takes place on Maryland Hall’s front lawn, so bring your lawn chair, blanket, and a picnic basket and settle in for a relaxing evening of music on the labyrinth. This is the final concert of the 2013 Sachs Memorial Summer Concert Series.

Mary Ann Redmond is an American singer known for her soulful and wide-ranging vocal style in popular and jazz music. She is based in the greater metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, but has performed in many locations across the United States and other countries. Both her live performances and her four CDs to date have earned her acclaim from audiences and recognition from the music industry, although she has never achieved national fame on a par with many of the performers she has worked with, such as Mary Chapin Carpenter. She is primarily a regional artist and has won an astounding 22 Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIES).

The concert is free and no tickets are required.  In case of rain, the concert will be moved indoors.

The Sachs Memorial Summer Concert Series is underwritten in part by Deborah Love in memory of her parents Joe and Jackie Sachs. Joe Sachs was one of the founders of Maryland Hall.

Maryland Hall is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of Maryland and the National Endowment for the Arts, and a grant from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County.
