Day On The Bay To St. Michaels

ladysarahIt might be the donuts, the catamaran vessel Lady Sarah built specifically for the trip, the sunshine or idyllic St. Michaels itself but Cruises on the Bay™ by Watermark®’s Day on the Bay to St. Michaels Cruise has been going strong for more than forty years. The 2013 season is no exception and due to popular demand, a Sunday, August 18th Day on the Bay to St. Michaels Cruise has been specially added to the schedule. With sold-out Saturday dates, offering the public cruise on a Sunday was a natural fit. The last time the trip was offered on a Sunday was this past April’s trip to the St. Michaels Wine Festival.

Sam J. a guest on the Wine Festival Cruise said on TripAdvisor, “Fantastic cruise to Wine Festival in St. Michaels! Two hour journey from Annapolis to St. Michaels with refreshments, food and a little bit of onboard staff stand up humor. Even before the trip we had very in depth details from changes to reminders of what to expect. Once on the island we had a sufficient opportunity to walk around the very quaint city and enjoy all the town had to offer (though could have used even more time). All in all I would highly recommend this trip and pretty much any others this company offered.”

Day on the Bay to Michaels includes a two-hour cruise across the Chesapeake Bay on Lady Sarah, an elegant – and fast – vessel with climate controlled bottom deck and open air top deck. The cruise over includes complimentary donuts and a non-alcoholic beverage. In St. Michaels, guests have three hours of time to enjoy the historic town at their leisure, and admission to the engaging Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is included in the ticket price. The return cruise brings guests back to Annapolis just in time for dinner. A full cash bar and snacks are available for purchase on board. The cruise departs Annapolis City Dock at 10 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m. The price is $72/adults and $30/children under 12. Advanced reservations are recommended and may be reserved at http://cruisesonthebay.com.
