Baysox Come Up Short In Extras

Baysox AdDespite rallying to tie it up in the ninth inning, the Bowie Baysox (64-63) fell to the Binghamton Mets (80-48) 3-2 in 10 innings on Monday night.

After both starters threw five shutout innings to start the game, the B-Mets struck first in the sixth inning.  With one out, Daniel Muno singled and Josh Rodriguez reached on an error to set up runners at the corners.  Then Xorge Carrillo knocked in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly to make the score 1-0.

The Baysox answered back in the top of the seventh inning.  Josh Horton led off with a double and went to third on a sacrifice bunt by Niuman Romero.  Then Luis Martinez tied up the game with a sacrifice fly to make the score 1-1.

Richard Lucas gave the B-Mets the lead right back in the bottom half of the inning when he hit a solo home run to make the score 2-1.

The Baysox tied the game back up in the top of the ninth inning.  With one out Romero singled, Martinez singled and Hudson walked to load up the bases.  Then Buck Britton walked to force in the go-ahead run and tie up the score 2-2.

In the 10th inning, Blake Forysthe won the game for the B-Mets when he hit a lead off walk off home run.

Chasen Bradford got the win throwing a scoreless 10th inning.

The loss went to Marcel Prado who gave up the walk-off home run in the 10th inning.
