Country legend, Alan Jackson, will be swinging by Columbia on September 6th for an all-ages show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion presented by IMP Productions and DC’s 9:30 Club.
Known for blending traditional honky tonk and mainstream country sounds, Jackson has recorded 14 studio albums, three Greatest Hits albums, two Christmas albums, one Gospel album and several compilations. Jackson has sold more than 60 million records worldwide.
In 2012, Jackson released Thirty Miles West. Three singles have been released from the album, “Long Way to Go”, “So You Don’t Have to Love Me Anymore” and “You Go Your Way.” This show will feature the players from Jackson’s upcoming The Bluegrass Album, to be released on September 24. Jackson wrote eight of the fourteen songs on The Bluegrass Album, which is produced by Keith Stegall and Jackson’s nephew, Adam Wright.
