Man Arrested After Mom Calls Police.  Police said they arrested a 26-year-old man after his mother called police to say he was not allowed in her home. Anne Arundel County police officers were called to the 500 block of Bayberry Drive in Severna Park around 3:25 p.m. Saturday. The homeowner, who was not on scene, told police her son might be in her home without permission and that he had an outstanding warrant.

Robbers Slash Victim’s Face, Flee With CashAnne Arundel County police are looking for two robbers who injured a man in Brooklyn Park. Police said officers were called to Baltimore-Washington Medical Center in the 300 block of Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie around 8:45 a.m. after reports of a robbery that happened earlier. The 28-year-old victim told police he was in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway around 3 a.m. when he was approached by two men.

Mail Handler Treated For Chemical Exposure. An investigation under way in downtown Baltimore, where city fire officials said a woman handling mail had to be treated for exposure to an unknown chemical. According to officials, the woman was sorting mail at One Main Financial Bank in the 300 block of St. Paul Place when she noticed a strong odor coming from a package she opened.

O’Malley Announces $650M In Transportation Spending Plans.  Gov. Martin O’Malley has announced $650 million in transportation projects in Prince George’s County. The governor said Monday the projects will be designed to ease traffic congestion and boost jobs. O’Malley noted the projects have been made possible by a gas tax increase that was approved in the legislative session. It is Maryland’s first gas tax increase in two decades.
