NTSB To Investigate Bay Bridge Crash As Video Emerges. Federal officials will investigate last week’s crash on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge as new cellphone video shows the survivor swimming to safety moments after her car plunged off the bridge Friday night. Morgan Lake was clearly hurting as she hung on to the rocks around a bridge piling. It took her almost a minute until she could actually pull herself out of the water, the video showed.

3 School Chiefs Serving Interim Terms.  At least half of the school superintendents in the Baltimore region are on the job temporarily, all having signed contracts to serve on an interim basis. In each case, the superintendents were brought on board less two months before the start of a new school year. Anne Arundel County was the latest school district to name a new leader.

3 Boats Catch Fire At Edgewater Marina. Fire officials in Anne Arundel County are at the scene of an early-morning fire at the Oak Grove Marina in Edgewater. Officials said three boats caught fire shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday at the marina in the 2800 block of Solomons Island Road. The fire was brought under control about an hour later.

Toddler Safe After Early Morning Wander. A 3-year-old boy is safe after he managed to open the door to his home and go wandering in Linthicum in the early morning hours. Anne Arundel County police said a driver spotted the child at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday. The Capital of Annapolis reports Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said it appears the child managed to unlock the door to his home, open it and start walking toward a relative’s house. Officers started a door-to-door search and ultimately found the boy’s parents with the help of a neighbor.
