Man Avoids Jail Time For Animal Cruelty Charges.  A Pasadena man whose home held more than 40 domestic and wild animals that he said he was trying to rescue and find homes for has been sentenced to probation. Shane Taylor, 21, pleaded guilty Wednesday to five counts of animal cruelty in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court. The Capital of Annapolis reported that he was given one year of supervised probation and allowed to only have one pet in his home.

Police Warn Drivers After Spike In Airbag Thefts. Police in Anne Arundel County are investigating the thefts of air bags from cars over the past two weeks. The investigation comes as authorities in Baltimore County are also investigating similar incidents. Anne Arundel County police said the thieves have gotten into the cars between midnight and 5 a.m. and stolen the air bags and other personal property, like GPS devices and money.

Plane Crashes Into Trailer Park In Maryland City. A single-engine plane crashed into a trailer park in the Maryland City area of Anne Arundel County late Thursday morning, injuring the pilot, fire officials told WBAL-TV 11 News. The plane crashed in the unit block of South Bruce Street in the Parkway Village Trailer Park in Maryland City around 10 a.m. The pilot — identified by state police as Ronald H. Dixon, 70, of Bowie — was taken to Shock Trauma.  On Thursday evening his condition was upgraded from critical to serious condition.

Car Hits Restaurant In Annapolis Mall.  A car partially slammed into an Annapolis restaurant Thursday afternoon. Anne Arundel County fire officials said the car hit the Four Seasons Grill at the Westfield Annapolis Mall, causing significant damage, at about 3 p.m. No injuries were reported.
