Maryland Wine At 2nd Annual Kegs And Corks Beer & Wine Festival

| July 30, 2013, 01:08 PM | 0 Comments

kegscorks2013Tickets are now on sale for the Second Annual Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival on August 24, 2013. This event was so popular in 2012 that it has been moved to a larger venue, the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds.  This is a unique festival where Maryland wine and craft beer come together…catering to beer and wine lovers alike.

In an effort to promote “buying local,” the festival will once again feature the Maryland Wine Pavilion where guests will sample exceptional Maryland wines, while enjoying local crab cakes and fresh oysters.  The Craft Beer Corral will feature carefully selected craft beer from breweries across the United States.  NEW THIS YEAR: Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of international beer, homemade sangria, and Lime-A-Ritas and Straw-Ber-Ritas.  And if that wasn’t enough, the Maryland Homebrew Association will offer on-site demonstrations on how to brew beer!  There will also be opportunities to hear from the Maryland winemakers and brew masters throughout the day.

Tickets include a souvenir cup, limited samples of featured beer and wine, and entertainment all day.  Food and full glasses of beer and wine, as well as bottles of wine, are available for purchase.

Entertainment will include live music performances by the local Irish band Dublin 5 (previously known as The Rovers), Uncle Jack, The Truth Project, and Appaloosa.

Presented by Eye on Annapolis, the 2013 Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival will benefit the local charity, Hospice of the Chesapeake, which provides hospice care to terminally-ill people in Anne Arundel and Price George’s counties.  Learn more at www.hospicechesapeake.org.

Advance tickets are now on sale for $25 each and available online at www.KegsandCorksFest.com.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $30 each. Tickets for Military members and their spouse are $20 in advance online or at the gate (limit 2 – must show military I.D. at gate).  Groups of 10 or more are $20 each in advance only. Tickets for designated drivers and ages 13 – 20 are $10.  Kids 12 and under are free. Join us rain or shine. Hours are Saturday from noon to 7:00 PM. Vendor, sponsor, and volunteer opportunities are available. Volunteer and get a free t-shirt!  For more information about the Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival, contact Inspired Events at 410.507.2186 or visit www.KegsandCorksFest.com.
