Chick-fil-A Is Stuffing The Bus

On Saturday, Aug. 3, the Chick-fil-A restaurant at Waugh Chapel will host its “Stuff the Bus” event from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. to collect school supplies for local students in need. The effort is in support of the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services and the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Back-to-School Program. To provide further support to the program, the restaurant will also donate a percentage of sales on Monday, July 22 to the cause.

While Chick-fil-A is partnering with the MOMS Club of Crofton, the Crofton Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations and businesses, the restaurant is challenging the community to help stuff the Voung’s Martial Arts and Fitness Center bus with school supplies. Guests can bring donations to the Aug. 3 event, or drop them off at the following collection points:

  • Vuong’s Martial Arts and Fitness Center
  • Rollie Pollies
  • Liberty Tax Service
  • State Farm Insurance
  • Old Line Bank
  • First National Bank
  • PNC Bank
  • The Family Bike Shop

Guests that bring donations to the Aug. 3 event will be entered for a chance to win prizes from local businesses. There will also be games and other activities for families to enjoy at the event.

After all donations have been gathered, the MOMS Club will then organize the supplies and pack backpacks for children with exactly what they need for school. A special mixer and presentation of the backpacks and school supplies will take place at a local school with area school principals and other community leaders.
