Union Jack’s To Pick Up Where The Whiskey Left Off

ROAA UJ WEBSince May 2011, the ROCK OF ALL AGES Concert Series has provided 200 young, area rock bands an opportunity to play to over 10,000 paying attendees.  With the closing of The Whiskey later this month, the program needed a new home.

ROCK OF ALL AGES founder and organizer Danny Mays has announced today that the series will be moving to Union Jack’s of Annapolis, beginning July 7th.  Shows will continue to be held each Sunday from 6-10pm, throughout the Summer. Tickets for all shows will be available from all of the bands for $8, and at the door for $10 on the night of each show.  Each week, 4 local bands will be featured.

“I felt after meeting with Danny that Union Jack’s Annapolis was the perfect new home for ROCK OF ALL AGES,” stated Rich Cutair, General Manager of Union Jack’s of Annapolis. Union Jack’s has the venue perfect for their needs. I’m very excited to host the shows and look forward hearing some great local music from some very talented young adults in the area..

“I am thrilled to make this announcement and am very excited to continue to be able to provide opportunities for local musicians of Anne Arundel County and beyond,”  Mays says. “Finding a new home for ROCK OF ALL AGES was a top priority for me and I am confident that we have found a great fit with Rich and his team at Union Jack’s.”

ROCK OF ALL AGES was started as a natural extension of the annual Anne Arundel County High School Battle of the Bands at Maryland Hall.

Union Jack’s of Annapolis is located at 2072 Somerville Road, next to Annapolis Towne Centre. The venue features plenty of free parking, a large, elevated stage and sound system, and a variety of food and drink options.
