Greenstreet Gardens And Vera Bradley Planting It Pink

greenstreetlogo_whiteGreenstreet Gardens will host a special “Plant it Pink” event from 10am to 4pm on June 8 to raise funds for breast cancer research. Customers will enjoy refreshments, giveaways, and a memorable day while shopping for the newest Vera Bradley colors and styles at Greenstreet Gardens.

During this event, Greenstreet Gardens will be host to other local partners including Chick-fil-A of Edgewater and Rita’s of Dunkirk. There will be activities for adults and children, as well as charitable opportunities to support cancer research throughout the day. The Vera Bradley Foundation will be providing a door prize, as well as survivor gifts for a limited number of participants. A portion of their day’s sales will be donated to the foundation by Greenstreet Gardens and Rita’s of Dunkirk.

“We’re delighted that Greenstreet Gardens is raising funds for breast cancer research,” says Catherine Hill, executive director of the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. “Our Vera Bradley retailers are the perfect ambassadors to help us bring more awareness and support to our corporate cause.”

The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer was founded by Vera Bradley co-founders Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia Miller in 1998. To date, it has contributed more than $17 million to the world-renowned research team in the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis. The team of researchers at the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research Laboratories is making significant progress and gaining national recognition for their groundbreaking research into the treatment of breast cancer.

Impressive sales of the Vera Bradley breast cancer awareness colors generate part of this revenue, but another significant portion is the donors like Greenstreet Gardens and those who support their events. For more information about the Vera Bradley Foundation, visit verabradley.org
