Car Crashes Into Eatery At Annapolis Towne Centre

traffic-accident iconOn Monday, June 17, 2013, at approximately 1:26 P.M., officers from Southern District responded to Zoes Kitchen located at 1901 Towne Center Boulevard, Suite 105, Annapolis, Maryland for a report of several pedestrians struck by a motor vehicle.  Upon arrival officers located 2 male victims, age 54 and 45, and 2 female victims, age 30 and 20. Investigation revealed a black Lexus being operated by a 78 year old male had jumped the curb and struck several customers who were seated in the patio area. The two male victims and the 30 year old female were treated by fire personnel at the scene and released.  The 20 year old female victim was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Hospital with non life threatening injuries.  The 78 year old driver was transported by ambulance to Anne Arundel Medical Center to be treated for non life threatening injuries.  The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
