On the last day of spring, just as Mayor Cohen promised, a City employee delivered a Use & Occupancy Permit to the Amsterdam Falafel Shop. But, the first vendor in the latest iteration of the Market House will not be open to the public until possibly Saturday, but more likely on Sunday!
Eye On Annapolis will be there for the first falafel serving tonight for a “soft opening” for invited guests. The current Market House has been closed for over 17 months and everyone is looking forward to a full Market House booming with business. Firenzes Gelateria is expected to open next week. Mayor Cohen is out of town on a junket to Ireland and could not be reached for comment, however, he has indicated in the past that the remaining vendors are not too far behind in the construction. An exact date for full operation of the facility is still up in the air.
