The 230 guests who attended the event sampled chocolate desserts provided by local Chocolate vendors, bid on the vast array of silent auction items that were generously donated by local businesses, all while mingling the fabulous sound of “The Spa Creek Swing Band” and dancing to the instruction by the Gotta Swing dancers. All of this years participating confectioners were a real hit, providing creative chocolate desserts including: passion fruit chocolate ganche cupcakes, almond sea-salt chocolate bark and many more. In addition to the chocolate tasting, all attendees were entered into multiple door prize drawings, with an additional chance to win a gas card.
“This year’s Zonta Club of Annapolis Chocolate Festival was a fun and wonderful evening”, exclaimed Joanne Gallos, Zonta Club of Annapolis’ President. “Our celebrity judges, State Senator John Astle, Delegate Cathleen Vitale, and AACC Hospitality and Culinary Arts Professor Ken Jarvis were exceptional judges who dutifully tasted each of the Confectioner’s assortment of chocolate desserts—in fact, all of them enjoyed the evening so much, they volunteered to be judges again next year!”, she continued.
