On May 6th, the 15th annual Golf Tournament hosted by The Arc Central Chesapeake Region was held at the Golf Club at South River was attended by over 85 golfers comprised of community partners, supporters, and board members. Sponsorship was generously provided by Alco Pharmacy, Dave Rosenthal & Associates, Iliff, Meredith, Wildberger, and Brenner PC, BB&T- Annapolis, Princinsky and Associates, First Marnier Mortgage, Nuveen Investments, Mullen, Sondberg, Wimbish, & Stone, P.A., and M&T Bank among many others.
“This years’ Golf Tournament brought together community members in support of a great cause: supporting people with development and intellectual disabilities in achieving opportunity. Ninety-three percent of every dollar raised goes directly to the children and adults we support and we cannot express enough gratitude to those who participated and supported our tournament. ” says Kristen Lasker, Director of Development and Marketing for The Arc Central Chesapeake Region.
The tournament featured 18 holes of golf, a putting contest, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
The Arc Central Chesapeake Region’s (CCR) Mission is to promote respect, create opportunities and advocate for equal rights for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc Central Chesapeake Region provides many different supports for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families throughout the lifespan.
