The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel (CFAAC) is currently accepting applications from eligible Anne Arundel County high school seniors for three scholarships focused on student-athletes:
Name of Fund: Collegiate Scholarship Fund School: Old Mill High SchoolScholarships: A $4,000 scholarship is being given to one boys’ varsity lacrosse player and one girls’ varsity lacrosse player at Old Mill High School for the 2013 season. The intent of this scholarship is to acknowledge and reward two students-athletes along with the teachers and coaches who selflessly give their time, energy and support to ensure the success of these students.

Name of Fund: Collegiate Scholarship Fund School: Severna Park High SchoolScholarships: A $4,000 collegiate scholarship is being given to one boys’ varsity basketball player and one varsity wrestling team player at Severna Park High School for the 2013 season. The intent of this scholarship is to acknowledge and reward two students-athletes along with the teachers and coaches who selflessly give their time, energy and support to ensure the success of these students.

Name of Fund: Officer Grant Turner Memorial Scholarship Fund Schools: Annapolis High School, Arundel High School, Glen Burnie High School, Old Mill High School, Severna Park High School, South River High School (applications linked)Scholarship: This scholarship is to acknowledge and reward one student -athlete who selflessly gives their time, energy and support to ensure the success of his/her team. This scholarship is not about being the star player rather it is intended for the player with the most heart who tried as hard as he/she could to improve himself/herself and the team. It is about perseverance and tenacity. A $1,000.00 scholarship will be given to a team player of any varsity or junior varsity sport at each eligible school for the 2013 season.

All scholarships will be awarded by the end of May.
