On April 10, 2013, at approximately 6:16 a.m., officers from the Northern District responded to Mikie’s restaurant located in the1200 block of Crain Highway North in Glen Burnie for a report of an attempted robbery of the business.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the male suspect, who was armed with a firearm, entered the business and confronted an employee. The male employee began to fight with the suspect, took the firearm from the suspect during the struggle and struck the suspect repeatedly with it. The suspect then fled the restaurant and headed south on Crain Highway. The weapon was left on scene and recovered. Numerous officers canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
Suspect: Black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s with a heavy build and dread locks, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white t-shirt underneath and black pants
