| April 21, 2013, 07:48 PM | 1 Comment

UPDATE 8:31pm April 21, 2013:  In speaking with neighbors, no one recognized the car and do not believe the victim was a resident or guest. One resident, who has asked to remain anonymous, told us that the victim was a light skinned black male and that 3 black males were seen running from the scene.

UPDATE 8:25pm April 21, 2013:  Annapolis Police have ruled this a homicide and released the following statement:

Detectives from Annapolis Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred this afternoon in the 200 block of Victor Parkway.

Officers responded to a report of a possible shooting and found the adult male victim in a vehicle in the 200 block of Victor Parkway.  The victim had been shot and died at the scene.  Police are not releasing information on the vehicle or identity of the man until his identity can be confirmed and his next of kin notified.

Detectives are investigating the homicide.  Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Charles Bealefeld or Detective John Murphy at 410-268-9000.

Annapolis police are investigating the discovery of a body that was found shot in a car in the 200 block of Victor Parkway.  The gold 4-door Lexus was backed into a parking spot in the Fairwinds of Annapolis condominium complex.

Police on the scene would not confirm any details this early in the investigation other than there was a body discovered in the car. They said they received the call around 4:30pm this afternoon.  From our vantage point, we did not see any broken glass and it is unknown if the victim was shot, or if it was a self inflicted wound.  However, detectives were examining an area around a tree approximately 70 feet from the car. A Facebook user commented on our Facebook page that the boy was discovered around 3:00pm this afternoon.

In an email, Annapolis Police Detective Amy Miguez said that it waas too early in the investigation to determine if there was any connection to the two bodies found in a car this morning; although she said preliminarily that there did not appear to be any connection.

More details coming.
