Maryland native Tony Denikos is one of the Mid Atlantic region’s songwriting treasures. A familiar face on the regional music scene, showcasing his foot stomping backbeats, engaging melodies and ‘tastier than Texas BBQ’ guitar work, he’s won the hearts of those who appreciate great songwriting delivered with an honest and authentic voice.

Tony released Under the Church album in 2012, from the much anticipated follow up to the critically acclaimed Already Gone (2009).Under the Church goes to places both darker and more light- hearted than his previous releases. Tony says, “I love performing almost as much as I love recording a new song. I cherish the connection that my songs help me make folks in ways only music can. I sure do hope I get a chance to pick y’all a tune or two sometime soon.”

Tony’s 2009 release, Already Gone, melds true grit Americana with intimate performances. The critically acclaimed CD has been aired by hundreds of radio stations across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand and was #2 on the Euro Americana Charts and #7 on the Freedom Americana Roots Charts in 2010.

“Tony Denikos’ songwriting is filled with emotion and romanticism, moving from social commentary to small portraits of American life…. A good example of modern Americana and songwriting of noble birth.”–Fabio Cerbone – www.rootshighway.it -Italy

“..like a sponge Tony absorbs all the (Americana) influences and then wrings out something entirely his own”— Benny Metten. www.ctrlaltcountry.be – Belgium
