The Underpants Now On Sale

Tickets are available for Theatre at AACC’s production of “The Underpants,” a comedy about the calamities that occur when a woman’s bloomers accidentally fall off when she waves at the King, which opens in April.

Anne Arundel Community College is using comedian Steve Martin’s adaptation of the Carl Sternheim comedy. Performances will be at 8 p.m. April 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 and at 2 p.m. on April 14, all in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater of the Pascal Center for Performing Arts on the AACC Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

Playing Louise, the unfortunate woman who loses her bloomers, is Amna Geko of Glen Burnie, a student in AACC’s theater program. Other AACC theater students in the cast include Jessica Patterson of Severn as Gertrude; Miguel Valarino of Caracas, Venezuela as Versati; Timothy Woda of Annapolis as Cohen; Bill Debrason of Crofton as Klinglehoff and Callan Holderbaum of Annapolis as the King. Nate Tyson of Laurel plays another lead role as Theo.

Tickets are $15 for the general public; $12 for senior citizens, outside students, AACC faculty and staff, active military and groups; and $7 for AACC students with ID. For tickets, email [email protected] or call 410-777-2457. The college is closed March 16-24 for spring break.

The Theatre at AACC performs each term in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater and the theater in the Humanities Building Room 112. Students can become involved in all aspects of the production including performance, design and technical/running crews. Auditions for performances are open to students and community members.
