Extended Rabies And Microchip Clinic To Be Held March 21

111confused_dogOn Thursday, March 21, 2013, Anne Arundel County Animal Control will be offering an extended rabies and microchip clinic for the public. The clinic will be held at Anne Arundel County Animal Control located at 411 Maxwell Frye Road in Millersville, Maryland. The clinic, which normally runs from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., will be extended until 8 p.m. This opportunity is being offered in an effort to make rabies vaccination of pets more accessible to the public as it is a requirement of the law. This clinic is open to any Maryland resident. After this extended clinic, the weekly rabies clinics will return to the normal hours of operation of 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursdays.

Lines form outside of the clinic so attendees are encouraged to come prepared for the weather. Clinic attendees are responsible for bringing necessities for both themselves and their pets. Attendees are asked to remain patient in line and maintain a safe distance between pets.  Rabies vaccines cost $5.00 per pet and microchips cost $20.00 per pet. Animal Control accepts cash (please bring cash in $20 increments or smaller) and checks.
