On Monday, March 4, 2013, at approximately 11:58 a.m., officers from the Southern District responded to the M & T Bank located in the 3100 block of Solomons Island Road in Edgewater for a reported bank robbery.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note implying a weapon and announcing a robbery. The teller turned over an undetermined amount of U.S. currency to the suspect, who then fled the business on foot. Several patrol officers, a K-9 unit and Detective units canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The Evidence Collection Unit processed the crime scene and gathered evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
Suspect: White male in his 40’s, approximately 5’7”-5’8”, 200-210 pounds with brown hair, wearing black rimmed glasses, a black knit hat and a blue coat with a white liner
