AAACCVB Celebrates Spring Fling Giveaway

250x250    Eye  On AnnapolisThe Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau (AAACCVB) invites all interested individuals to join in celebrating the launch of its new interactive website and the marketing campaign that supports it during a reception at the Maryland Inn in Annapolis on Wednesday, March 27, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore says the content- rich website that launched in January is the result of collaboration between her organization and the businesses and non-profit organizations that operate here. “Our new site puts Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay businesses in the driver’s seat. They can now upload information and images 24/7. While business owners target their messages to visitors and area residents, new AAACCVB-produced videos introduce viewers to the faces behind the organizations and attractions they patronize. At the same time, blogs written by 15 area residents provide local perspectives on a host of topics and hidden treasures that exist right here in our own backyards.”

During the March 27 event, the AAACCVB will introduce its new Spring Fling Givaway promotion that kicks off on March 24. The campaign invites interested individuals to visit the new www.VisitAnnapolis.org website to map out a personalized getaway to Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. Attendees will be among the first to view the new Spring Fling Giveaway commercial that is airing on network affiliate and cable television outlets in Philadelphia and DC. To further drive the message home, the AAACCVB has purchased traffic sponsorships on WBAL radio and banner ads on local and regional websites.

At the launch party, interactive work stations will enable guests to register for the Spring Fling Giveaway on the spot. To do so, they need simply navigate around the site and pick out the ingredients that spell dream getaway to them. To further inspire their choices, the AAACCVB will air inaugural videos highlighting Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay’s dining, nightlife, live music, history, bed and breakfasts, and sailing. Videos addressing other appealing aspects of the destination will be produced in the weeks and months ahead.

Del Signore says this is just the beginning. “The website is an ever-changing, ever-growing source of information inspired by the people who live here.” The AAACCVB invites community feedback and participation. To that end, Del Signore encourages Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay enthusiasts to make the website’s blog section a favorite. Blog pages filled with inside scoops on hidden gems, entertaining pastimes, and money-saving bargains are updated weekly. As Del Signore sees it, “This is your site, and we want to make it the user-friendly resource you expect it to be.”
