Ruthie And The Wranglers Trio To Perform At Chesapeake Arts Center

RuthieLogsdon-solo_by_Michael_G_StewartThe Chesapeake Arts Center is proud to present, Ruthie and the Wranglers Trio , in an All Age concert on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at 8pm.  The concert will be held in Studio 194 theatre and tickets are available for purchase for $15.00 for adults, $12 CAC members at the door or online at www.ChesapeakeArts.org.

Azalea City Recordings’ Artists, Ruthie & the Wranglers, play rockin’ American Roots music (also known as FUN!) and are based in Takoma Park, MD. This original Americana Country band’s clever lyrics, high energy and spritely hillbilly harmonies set them apart from the rest.

The band has released their sixth CD, Ruthie and the Wranglers LIVE at Goose Creek which was recorded live at the Franklin Park Arts Center in Purcellville, VA. Ruthie and The Wranglers’ albums have consistently ranked high on Americana, Folk and Roots music radio charts around the world. Their clever songwriting skills were penned by Billboard Magazine as “…nothing short of brilliant.”

Lead vocalist and songwriter, Ruthie Logsdon and her band have racked up more than 30 WAMMIES including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Country Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year from the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) and as of February 2013 have achieved emeritus status. At the Chesapeake Arts Center, Ruthie will be joined by lead guitarist and award winning multi-instrumentalist (elec. guitar, baritone guitar and steel guitar), Andy Rutherford and pianist, vocalist and key songwriter, Bill Starks.
