Man Wanted In Annapolis Shooting Turns Self In. Police said a man wanted in connection with a homicide has turned himself into Annapolis police. Clarence Eugene Johnson III turned himself into police on Wednesday. Authorities said he was wanted for a homicide that happened on Dec. 12. Police said at 9:19 p.m., on Dec. 12 Annapolis police officers were called to a home in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue for a report of a shooting where they found Joseph Johnson III, 33, of Brooklyn, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and Jana Jackson, 31, of Annapolis, suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.

Man Who Trespassed At School Undergoing Psych Evaluation. The Anne Arundel County man who reportedly trespassed at a Glen Burnie high school is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. Police said 25-year-old Justin Beaumont slipped into North County High School by following an employee in through a back door. When inside, Beaumont asked about the school’s security and talked about owning weapons and having a military background.

Man Critically Injured In Glen Burnie CrashAnne Arundel County police said a man sustained life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash. Police said two cars collided in the southbound lanes of Ritchie Highway and Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators said a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by 23-year-old Tristien Owen Willey, was traveling southbound on Ritchie Highway approaching the traffic signal at Furnace Branch Road. Southbound traffic was stopped at the intersection for a steady red signal.

National Gun Control Advocate Promotes O’Malley’s Bill.  Longtime gun-control advocate Sarah Brady visited Gov. Martin O’Malley and leading Maryland lawmakers on Wednesday to promote a comprehensive measure backed by the governor to fight gun violence. She is the wife of former White House press secretary Jim Brady, who was left paralyzed in the 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan by a mentally ill gunman. The couple heads the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
