Chelsea Booth, charged with murdering her 2 year old daughter in Annapolis

UPDATE: According to online court records, Booth (25 years old) has a criminal past dating back to 2005 including assault, motor vehicle theft, drugs, and more. It appears that she may have another child from paternity cases in the system.

From the Annapolis police department, the body of the child has not been recovered and police believe that the infant was smothered in in the suspect’s apartment located at 2 Bens Drive in Annapolis. However they will not be able to determine a cause of death until a body is recovered.

On February 7, 2013 Annapolis police detectives charged 25 year old Chelsea Booth of Annapolis with killing her two year old daughter, Kassidey Capri Booth.

On February 6, 2013 a concerned citizen contacted Annapolis Police Department about a two year old child, Kassidey Booth, whom the citizen had not seen in several days. The investigation by police detectives provided evidence that Kassidey’s mother, Chelsea Booth, killed the two year old earlier this week and disposed of the body.

Chelsea Booth has been charged with first and second degree murder and first degree child abuse resulting in death.  She is being held without bail at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.

Officers are still investigating the homicide.  Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Pyles at 410-268-9000.
