2nd Annual City Fair At Annapolis City Dock

Annapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen announces an opportunity for local nonprofit organizations to showcase their services while highlighting volunteer opportunities to the public.

Annapolis_1600The City of Annapolis, in cooperation with the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame (NSHOF), is seeking public agencies, cultural institutions, sports associations, service organizations, educational institutions, environmental organizations, neighborhood associations, sailing groups, etc., to participate in this year’s City Fair.

“Too often, the excellent nonprofit organizations that serve our City operate sight unseen,” said Mayor Cohen. “This City Fair offers us a chance to showcase them. Through nonprofit participation in the City Fair, our residents and visitors can learn more about the services offered and the organizations participating can attract needed volunteers to their programs.”

The event will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12. Times on Saturday will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. There is no charge for space and participants will be able to fund-raise as permitted by City Code. Because we have wonderful restaurants and eateries in the City Dock area, no food or beverages will be served at the Fair.

“The NSHOF is pleased to join with the City to host an event at City Dock which will celebrate who we are and what we do,” said NSHOF President Gary Jobson.

Details on participation and registration are available at the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame’s office at [email protected] or call 410-295-3022.
