St. John’s Welcomes The Community To Explore Fine Arts And Literature

St. Johns COllegeSt. John’s College welcomes the community to participate in a variety of evening and weekend seminars and fine arts workshops, through its Continuing Education and Fine Arts program. Engage in seminars on Greek comedies of Aristophanes, plays by Tennessee Williams, and selections from “The Federalist” and founding documents of the United States, among others. Fine arts workshops include “The Craft of Story: Fiction,” “Painting Nature in Watercolor,” “Sculpture: Stone Carving,” and more. All classes are open to the public. Spring classes begin February 9. Tuition ranges from $135 to $210. The registration deadline is two weeks before the first class meets. Evening seminars and workshops meet on the Annapolis campus once a week for six to ten sessions. Weekend seminars meet three times over the course of one weekend. Community seminars are composed of approximately 15 students and led by a St. John’s tutor. Noted fine arts instructors lead weekend and semester-long workshops. Workshop size is 12 to 16 students. St. John’s Continuing Education and Fine Arts program is open to individuals 18 and older.
