Chesapeake Outdoor Group Presents Film Screening

filmscreeningChesapeake Outdoor Group (COG) Kids, with the support of the Anne Arundel Community College Student Education Association present a screening of the award-winning documentary, PLAY AGAIN, taking place at Anne Arundel Community College, Florestrano Building – Lecture Hall 101, Arnold, MD from 6:00-8:00PM on February 7, 2013.

At a time when children spend more time in the virtual world than the natural world, PLAY AGAIN unplugs a group of media savvy teens and takes them on their first wilderness adventure, documenting the wonder that comes from time spent in nature and inspiring action for a sustainable future. This film encourages individuals, families, schools, and communities to examine their relationships with both screen technology and nature, and inspires them to take action to reconnect children to the natural world.

An in-depth panel discussion will follow the film with representatives from Alliance for Childhood, Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, No Child Left Inside Coalition and Kids in the Valley, Adventuring.  Panelists will answer audience questions and further discuss the growing movement toward reconnecting children with nature.

This event is free, however, reservations are required and can be made by visiting www.playagainfilm.eventbrite.com

“What they do not value, they will not protect.  What they do not protect, they will lose.”  – Charles Jordan, PLAY AGAIN
