Wounded Veterans & Families Celebrate; Local Organizations Light the way for Santa

The holiday season is always highly anticipated by young and old alike; for some special veterans this year, the celebration will be a bit brighter with a visit from Santa Claus. In mid-December, Warrior Events, Stewart Lawn & Landscape, and a private Annapolis homeowner will welcome veterans with service-related injuries and their care partners from Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda. Warrior Events is an Annapolis-based not-for-profit organization, whose mission is “to provide opportunities for interaction, enjoyment, and camaraderie for our warriors, and to raise awareness and appreciation among the public.”

In preparation for the party, Stewart Lawn & Landscape has donated holiday decorations by Christmas Décor, from sparkling lights brightening up the black night to garland gracefully accentuating the home’s architectural lines, these holiday decorations will say “Happy Holidays” and “Welcome Home” like nothing else. Creating a stunning, classical look or a more contemporary design can really set your home apart in your neighborhood, saysRon Stewart of Christmas Decor by Stewart Lawn  and  Landscape, who adds that the best designs are those that represent the homeowner’s love of the holidays. “Whatever our clients want in design, we try to achieve, and many times they look to us for recommendations,” said Stewart.  “We work very hard staying up-to-date not only with the trends but with the latest products, and we are always training and learning. The LED lighting that we use is about 90 percent more energy efficient than traditional incandescent light bulbs.”

“We are truly honored to be able to participate in this event, one of the holiday season’s highlights,” said Ron Stewart, owner and founder of STEWART lawn & landscape. “Warrior Events of Annapolis has a great history of honoring servicemen and women and we will do everything in our power to honor that tradition.”
