Last night, shots were fired in the parking lot of the Bay Ridge Plaza. Annapolis Police are still investigating the incident and it appears that the shooter is still at large. Their initial report (PDF) did not offer any details; however, when asked, Sgt. Eric Crane, PIO for the police department, was able to offer the following information to Eye On Annapolis.
Investigation revealed the suspect was standing by the Exxon Car wash and the Shop N Go and fired several shots according to witnesses. The suspect was possibly firing at a subject that ran into the Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits. One of the rounds struck a red Ford Truck that was turning into the liquor store lot from Hillsmere Dr. Driver of the vehicle was not injured. A round was located in the parking lot of the liquor store. A casing was located by the Shop N Go.
